DLTV (Yeah...)

dl.tv
Are you a fan of DLTV? Why not? There are alot of I.T. people who aren't in Silicon Valley. Want to feel like you're in tune with what the latest and greatest is out there? Check out DL.TV on the web, or if you have TiVO, go to the downloads section and get a season pass. I've learned alot from Robert and Roger.

Could Virtualization become Web 3.0 ???

Virtualization, Web 3.0?
Will we even need browsers in a few years? Could virtualized corporate networks make rich applications deployable like web apps? If you think about it, the only reason web apps became popular in companies was end-user deployment. If virtualizing the desktop (especially with Vista) works really well, why would companies want to keep deploying apps in the limited environment of a browser?

Amazing new user experiences

Microsoft Surface Computing
A great video about the Microsoft Surface computing initiative. Hey, whether you love them or hate 'em, both Microsoft and Apple help pioneer some amazing new technologies. Wouldn't it be neat in 5 years when other companies get into the act, so I could buy a Samsung "wall" that has my TV, TiVO, DVD, and surface web browser all on the same giant screen.

Have a geek to shop for? Do it here! ThinkGeek has some terrific gizmos for you gadget fiends out there. Sort of like MythBusters meets Amazon. Well, more like Grant from MythBusters. It's a well run site too.

Believe in Amazon

Amazon.com
Don't stop believin'. Amazon's free shipping, Prime service, and Web Services are putting it in a position to expand and grow even further in the online retailing space. Their ability to keep customers happy and follow through on orders... is TOP RATE. That's the key, good ole customer satisfaction. Don't stop believin'.

The Simpsons on 2 Guitars Simultaneously

I didn't even know it was possible to do this. Give a sec, but it's amazing to watch a guy play two guitars. And the Simpsons theme no less.

Remote control using your hand

Gesture Remote
A technology that recognizes hand signals. Great idea for your TV, but think about other ramifications. For instance, all of the jets on aircraft carriers rely on hand signals for takeoff procedures because it's safer and faster than voice communications. It will be interesting to see what practical uses this technology finds.

Will It Blend? iPhone!

Here's the "Will It Blend" of the iPhone. What do you think? How well will an iPhone blend up? Play to see. Do not try at home, especially since it's $600 to find out.

What's that song

Songtapper.com
I knew a dance song in college (a long time ago in a club far, far away). It was already an old club track even way back then. I never heard it again. I always had the melody in my head, but could never find it anywhere.

ReacTable

Microsoft isn't the only one with this new surface technology. There's a set of touch table tools incorporated into an electro-acoustic instrument, called "ReacTable". Bjork is using one of these in the Volta tour. Here's a video of a recent appearance where the camera zoomed in on it alot.
